Obesity is a very serious issue for pets that will have drastic consequences if it goes untreated. If a dog or cat is overweight it means that their caloric intake (how much they eat) is greater than how much energy they expend. The solution, which is easier said than done, if for a pet to eat less and exercise more. It is always a good idea to consult with your veterinarian as they can help you come up with a diet and exercise plan to help your pet safely lose the weight.

Excess body fat affects all parts of the body including bones and joints, the gastric system and the organs responsible to breathing capacity. Pets suffering from obesity will have a shorter lifespan than a pet at an ideal body weight.

Our veterinarians have helped many pets lose weight and we have seen wonderful results. These pets not only look better, but they feel better too!
